PRESIDENT BUHARI IS TO ADDRESS THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNITED NATIONS

President Mohammadu Buhari is to be the fifth speaker on Tuesday who will address the 74th session of the General Assembly of the United Nation.
The 74th session is unique because it will have a Nigerian, Professor Tijani Mahummad-Barde, presiding after 30 years of such privilege during the chairmanship of the late Major General Joseph Garba.
Describing the scheduled occasion as another rare opportunity, the special adviser to President Buhari on media and publicity, Mr Femi Adesina said that Mr President will use the occasion to show-case the commitment of Nigeria to international treaties, among others.
The Theme of the 74th U.N, General Assembly meeting is “Galvanizing Multilateral Efforts For Poverty Quality, Education, Climate and Inclusion”.
President Buhari is expected to leave for the U.N Headquarters, New York on Sunday
