Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is dead.

His death was confirmed by multiple sources, including Seun Oloketuyi, founder of Best of Nollywood (BON).

Oloketuyi wrote: “Taiwo Hassan Ogogo is dead.

“He finally lost the battle of life.”

One of the actor’s daughters was also seen crying in an Instagram video, saying she could not believe her father had passed away.

Ogogo had been battling cancer, which had progressed to Stage 4.

His daughter, Kira, confirmed his condition during a livestream on Sunday, August 23.

On screen, he has played the fearless warrior, the stern father, the powerful chief and other unforgettable characters.

Ogogo’s daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, had recently spoken about their father’s health condition in separate emotional appeals via Instagram.

The actor’s daughter revealed that their father was battling stage-four cancer and is currently in critical condition.

Lima, who struggled to hold back tears throughout the video, appealed to Nigerians and well-wishers to help her family find a hospital or medical personnel willing to treat her father, insisting that the family was not soliciting funds.
