No public holiday in Lagos tomorrow–Commissioner

State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde
Bamigbetan, has said there is no public holiday tomorrow in the state as
being speculated in some quarters.
Bamigbetan spoke against the backdrop of
reports currently circulating on social media platforms, that Governor
Akinwunmi Ambode has declared tomorrow as public holiday, to enable Lagosians prepare for Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
The commissioner, who urged civil
servants to be at their various duty posts tomorrow, also, asked them to
disregard any information to the contrary.
He also reiterated the earlier
announcement by the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Idiat Adebule, that all
public and private schools in the state are expected to observe the
second mid-term break today and tomorrow.
In accordance with the revised state
school calendar for 2018/2019 academic session, the commissioner added
that schools must resume academic activities on Monday.
