 The national address by President Muhammadu Buhari on the eve of the 2019 presidential election has elicited mixed reactions from citizens on social media.

 The content of the address was posted on the president's Facebook page on Friday, February 22.

 In the address, Buhari urged Nigerians with voting cards to participate in defining the future of the nation by exercising their democratic rights.

 The president further assuaged fears, following the previous postponement of the election; imploring Nigerians to cast aside doubts and have faith that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will rise to the occasion. Following the post, various social media users aired their views; with some supporting the president and others opposing him.
