BREAKING: WAEC presents Attestation Certificate to Buhari
The move is meant to settle the controversy surrounding the President’s “missing” secondary school certificate, which he has repeatedly said was with the Nigeria army that he served for several years.
Critics had insisted that Buhari did not qualify to co test for the presidency in the absence of the certificate.
A Twitter post by senior presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, after the presentation ceremony at the Aso Rock Villa, taunted the President’s critics on what next they would now say after the matter has been settled.
According to Adesina: “WAEC presents attestation certificate and confirmation of school cert result to President Buhari. What will the naysayers say next?”
The certificate presentation ceremony was attended by WAEC Registrar, Uyi Uwadiae; Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu; and some presidential aides.
