Nigeria D'TIGRESS beats TENERIFE Spain 59-56

                                             

The  Nigerian female basketball team D’TIGRESS on Wednesday carried the day,as it qualifield for the quarter finals of the FIBA world cup after beating Greece 59-56 Tenerife,Spain.

            With the win, the team has entered the team into the books of history as the first African team to qualify for the round of 6.8

            Haing record three straight wins after their opening game to Ausralia,D’TIGRESS will now lock horns with the United State of America in the quarter finals on Friday,a game that will further the test the resolve of the Nigerian side.

            Nigeria’s biggest performer was Evelyn Akhator who had 14 points,13 rebounds,two assist,four steals and one block and would have to be in a better from against the rampaingning U.S on Friday
